HAM CRAM Details
We conduct “ham cram” sessions periodically throughout the year to help new operators obtain their Technician class license. This proven method of study involves three to five hours of home self-study followed by an all-day class. After the class, we conduct a license testing session for all participants.
The class materials and instructors are provided free as a public service. Each participant is responsible for the standard exam fee of $15, which covers exam materials and FCC license processing.
HAM CRAM SCHEDULE
None are scheduled right now with COVID restrictions. Watch our website for changes.
HELPFUL SELF-STUDY LINKS FOR ALL LICENSE LEVELS
The web is packed with many useful (and not-so-useful) resources for ham license self-study. Most resources are free, or free with registration. There are also many sites that provide basically the same services for a small fee. The question pools for each license level are updated periodically, so when browsing the internet for resources be sure that the information you obtain is up-to-date.
Here are just a few links to free materials that should help you get started. Be sure to research other resources as well, and find one (or more) that fits your learning style.
